June is the month of the Sacred Heart. And, this coming Friday, June 7, 2024, is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The liturgical color is white. (This is in contrast to the Feast of the Precious Blood on July 1 when the liturgical color is red.)
My personal preference for this day would be pink as the predominant color with some white blooms and a few touches of red. I say this because when Our Lord's Sacred Heart was opened as he hung on the Cross there came forth fountains of blood and water. I think the blood stood for the Eucharist and the water stood for Baptism. Hence pink as a mixture of red for blood and white for water seems particularly apt. (See Pink Flowers for Church Decoration.)
But pink with white and red is just my personal preference. With white as the liturgical color the choices are numerous.
