Church Flowers for Our Lady's Assumption

For the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (upcoming on August 15), as for all feasts of Our Lady, the liturgical color is white.  It is not necessary to use white flowers but white flowers are often used.

According to an old English table of flowers, the herbs and flowers associated with this feast are rosemary, lavender, virgin's bower (wild clematis), roses, and lilies.
