Home devotional spaces

Many Catholics call them "home altars"; some resist using the word "altar" as reserved for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  Regardless of whether they are called altars, shrines, oratories, prayer corners, prayer closets or something else, most traditional Catholic homes have them.

I recently came across this page of photos at Pinterest that readers of this blog might enjoy seeing.  Many of the spaces seem to be done by designers who perhaps have a commercial purpose.  The spaces may not actually be used for prayer.  That is likely not so for all, however, and even the more professional designs can stimulate ideas for arranging one's own devotional space.
